The purchase happened in a flash!

From Facebook Ad to New Home Owner in Record Time! I saw an advertisement for Lurahammaren on Facebook, clicked on it, and that was basically it. I spoke with my bank advisor and the real estate agent, and bought almost immediately.

- I saw an advert for Lurahammaren on Facebook, clicked on it, and that was that. I spoke to my bank adviser and estate agent and bought almost immediately. It went like clockwork," says Kevin Tran. The 26-year-old has bought his first home in the Lurahammaren housing project - two six-storey apartment blocks located between Lurahammaren and Gamleveien, where 19 of 35 apartments have already been sold. His top tips: patience and equity.

Fool or nothing

Living in Lura was never a question for the self-proclaimed "Lura boy".

- It was Lura or nothing. I'm a trained carpenter with a permanent job, and I've been happy at home until now, but felt it was time to find something of my own. Still, there was never any doubt. I'm at home in Lura. And here I have everything I need," says Kevin. Among other things, he mentions the location next to Gandsfjorden, proximity to friends and family, hiking areas, the fact that it's easy to get around, a short distance to Forus and the city centre both north and south.

Everything you need

As Kevin says, at Lura and Lurahammaren you actually get everything you need. This is also Kevin's top tip:

- If I were to recommend anything to get you into the property market, it would be to save for equity early on. Because if you have enough equity, it usually works out in the end. Kevin also emphasises that patience is important when buying a home.

- Even though the actual purchase went very quickly for me, there is a waiting period before I can take over. So you just have to be patient and realise that things take time. For example, I use the time to save up for furniture purchases," he says.

We congratulate Kevin on his first home purchase at Lurahammaren and hope he enjoys it!

Modern home with natural surroundings

Fresh sea air, green surroundings, a short distance to the beach and jetty, together with modern facilities in three comfortable apartment types: 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom. And with balconies for all apartments, you'll also have your own little patio for the afternoon sun.

- "As a carpenter, I can refurbish things myself, but I felt I wasn't quite in the mood for that now. I wanted to buy something that was ready-made, where I can come and relax after work, and adjust as I go along if I feel like it," says Kevin.

- I hadn't actually been on any really active camps. I'd probably only been to one viewing that I realised wasn't for me, before I saw Lurahammaren. Lurahammaren had everything I wanted, but at a very reasonable price. And I didn't have to get into a bidding war because it's a fixed price," he continues. Kevin has bought a two-bedroom apartment for SEK 3.8 million, with takeover at Christmas 2026.

The first home

Entering the property market can be both scary and difficult for young first-time buyers. Especially when we read about rising house prices and high competition. But from 2025, the equity requirement has now been changed to 10 %, which may make it somewhat easier to save up equity.

- The house purchase went like clockwork.
